About Me

Hey! I’m Callum,

I have been passionate about food since a young age. I love cooking, travelling and trying new foods from different cultures and cuisines and eating out at nice restaurants. I have been on a ‘fitness journey’ since just before Christmas with the primary goal at first to lose weight. Being in a calorie deficit for 6 months, I wanted to cook food that I was excited about and looked forward to eating every day, making losing weight more sustainable and helped me reach my goals quicker. I was asked to put together a collection of recipes that I had created by my PT and made them into a little book. I wanted to showcase that you can still eat tasty and nutritious food whilst trying to lose fat. All the recipes included are meals I ate to lose weight and ended up losing a total of 15kg in 6 months.

My Training

I’ve been into running for about 6 years, but seemed to plateau with my times and was never improving. I began working with my PT Luke just before Christmas and I lost 15kg, got so much stronger, my running has improved drastically and I’m running times that I would never have dreamed of doing and achieved so many things this year that I didn’t think I was capable of. I’ve done several races this year, ran a half marathon with another one coming up, booked a fitness event called the Deadly Dozen in Malta, have Brighton Marathon in April and continuing to try and push myself out of my comfort zone to see what I can achieve.

The initial goal was to lose weight and look physically better, but now I realise the physical appearance becomes secondary. Everything about my life is better now, I sleep much better than I ever have done, I love getting out walking everyday and enjoying fresh air, I manage stress a lot better. I’m lifting weights I never thought I’d be able to do and now running paces that I could have only dreamed of. My relationship with food and alcohol is much better. I wanted to share my journey so far with everyone.
